The 33 1/4 scale is Rickenbacker's traditional long scale, and the gloss-finished slab rosewood fretboard features original slender frets and pearl triangle inlays. Surprisingly clean and retain their full factory height, showing only light wear beneath the A and D strings on frets 1-7, and virtually no wear further up the fingerboard. The original nut measures a full 1 5/8 in width with ideal string spacing. The headstock features a reproduction lucite Rickenbacker logo/truss rod cover and a brand new set of tuners which match the footprint and button style of the originals with slightly larger diameter tuner posts.
These tuners ensure optimal stability, and there is black overspray on the back of the headstock, ostensibly touchup from a previous tuner swap. The Rick-o-Sound stereo jackplate is stamped with an RA-prefix serial number with which translates to January of 1978.
