For sale is a customised Fender jazz bass, Geddy lee signature. This is the model with a slimmer faster neck than usual. With maple blocked and bound finger board. This bass has is fitted with a set of Dimarzio model J pickups that were unopened in the packaging from 1978. Read up on these as they are legendary and very powerful humbucker pickups. There are such a wide range of tones available from a warm round jazz, to a musicman / wal type sound. I played this particular bass in a prog rock band in vein of tool , alice in chains, early sabbath type vibes and it fits that sound very well, though have used it in some very clean sounding folky gigs and its been used for recording a dub reggae album. It can literally go from lemmy, to dub if needed in the twist of a switch. It has a customised worn worn finish that was professionally done. Lacquer on neck was flattened off to a matt finish for a smoother less sticky finish.

Neck mounted with a chrome reinforced thicker neck plate. Plays super sweet and sounds incredible, though was using most recently for a darker sound so could do with a new set of strings if you want that bite. Fitted with Warwick quick release strap locks and I will include a custom made wide leather strap that was always paired with it.

Cheap padded gog bag included as case it was kept in has been reused. This bass is so loved raised many eyebrows, and. Flapped many trouser legs, if its your vibe you really wont be disappointed. Just not getting the play it deserves and longs to be played. No faults, no damage, frets good, trus rod good, no buzz. Only thing it could do with is a set of strings and a bit of a set up tweak to your style. Im not a postman amd do not know how mich it will cost from ebays limited selections.
