I'll be sad to see this go but it's hard to go back to 4 strings once you have a 5 string - which I need. It's an American Fender 2006 Precision bass with the factory fitted S1 switch built into the volume pot. I'm not too sure what it does technically but I tend to leave it in'normal' P position and forget about it. It's a discrete option so the bass just looks like a regular P anyway. The bass has a good straight neck (I also had the frets professionally dressed) and the truss rod works great. It's currently strung with roundwounds and set up fairly low to do a bit of rock grind or funk. It does not have the dreaded ski-jump that so many bolt-on basses seem to inherit over time.

It has a black pickguard. I think these originally had white ones but the black on black looks much better.

For a fifteen-year old bass the condition is pretty good. There are some light scuffs and the back of the neck has a couple of small dinks probably where the previous owner lent it against something? I thought this may bother me but I can say in practice it never has but I will mention them unlike the previous owner. A non-Fender bridge cover was also fitted. I usually leave it off but it is included.

It's a great player and does that maple Precision thing very well. Also included is a shaped non-Fender hard case.
