Almost impossible to find in this MINT condition Westones top of the line, 1st release Thunder III made at the Matsumoko factory - Japan in 1984. The design is reflective of the Alembics of the day with the body of solid Canadian ash, with a through-body heelless C profile neck, which is a laminate of maple and walnut with a 22 fret ebony fingerboard, snowflake inlay position markers and 1 5/8 inch wide nut. Both P/J style pickups (HF600B and SA800B) with 3-way selector switch.
Phase reverse,'dual tone' (Series/Parallel) and active tone switches. Volume, active and passive tone controls. Brass saddles and bridge , anodised aluminium brass effect backplates. Comes with brand new hard case.
Having both the P/J type pickups installed with the onboard 18v pre amp circuit gives this guitar a wider range, offering a genuine Precision bass tone as well as clean and edgy sounds and it is great for slap and pop. This vintage, high quality instrument is presented in Excellent+Plus (Mint) condition, save for a few very light polishing swirls and has recently been completely checked over with frets cleaned, neck oiled, all switches, pots and electronics checked (new battery fitted), and a new set of strings.
