1971 Fender Precision Bass USA Rare (a) Neck

  

1971 Fender P bass guitar and Original Hardcase. Bass was originally a natural finish, professionally refinished in a light blue more than 15 years ago. It is part of an estate sale. This bass is clean has great patina, has some blemishes.

Nice line checking on Headstock light wear on body finish. Neck is straight and action set up is medium/low. Truss rod adjustment moves freely and works as it should. Original tuning pegs and hardware. This is a great neck, frets may have been replaced and neck restored/refinished but looking at fret board and finish there is no obvious signs so its hard for me to be sure.

The date stamp on neck is present. Frets have very little to no wear. Please look at the photos, wiring has since been restored to the original condition. The lighting in some of the photos make the guitar look more green the blue er photos are the correct color. This bass set up using nylon strings for a warmer more 60's tone, has that unmistakable 60's Fender growl.

Had to slightly file nut for E string may or may not have to fill nut slightly if you want to change to conventional strings. The photos are the most important part of the description so please look carefully and if you have any questions or need more photos I will gladly respond. This is a great opportunity to own a high end 70's P bass at a reasonable price.

Case is in excellent shape, light wear nameplate intact. Neck stamp Feb 71 A. Pots are a matched pair Date code: 7134 34th week of 1971.
