RARE 1987 Gibson Bass IV electric solid body bass in a sharp NATURAL MAHOGANY FINISH - in all original very very good condition, with original blue lined Gibson hardshell case, serial number 81337511. This rare Bass IV is a really really cool vintage Gibson bass - and though it has not gotten a great deal of press, is a super cool and pro player with a great sound.

Features twin pickups - same pickups found on Gibson's Thunderbird Bass - as well as an ebony fingerboard, black hardware, offset pearl dot inlays, and a nice light weight 8 pounds 3 ounces. Cosmetically, there are some scratches, a bit of buckle worming on the back - and a worn spot on the front between the two pickups - just from normal play.

Strap buttons may be newer replacements. This is by far the most unique Gibson electric bass we have seen. The original hard case is in good shape overall - a good bit of the tolex is missing from the outisde - but the case is fully functional, and is original to the instrument.
