Hi, up for sale is my Rickenbacker 4003S. With Maple body, Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard, and the newer more easily adjusted V2 Tailpiece. The bass is in full working order and plays very well, the neck is very straight and the action is low, these can be adjusted if desired. The factory installed vintage tone circuit switch on the treble pot is there too, for added tweaking of the tone. The bass is in fantastic condition, and has only very minor play wear, just 2 small chips in the finish along the bottom edge, approx 3-4mm long, see pix for details of these, should be a very easy fix if you know how. There are slight indentations in the clear coat finish.
The last picture shows the new routing under the pickguard for the Toaster pickups 1/2 inch position, it's about 12mm wider and half as deep as the factory routing, and is in fact a much smaller route than Rickenbacker used to do in the 60's and 70's, when the route used to go all the way to the neck heel, and at full depth. There are some very minor surface playing marks on the body and pickguard, not very easy to see, but they are very light and on the surface. The case is in new condition, complete with its key and a RIC manual, along with the allen key to adjust the saddles. The bass has a new set of Rotosound Swingbass 66 Stainless Steel round wound. So, if you like the looks and sound of an RM1999, as did Chris Squire and Paul McCartney, or a V63 or a C64 bass, then this is a great alternative, its almost brand new and has the V2 Tailpiece. But only to the U. Any questions, please ask and I'll reply asap, but no questions about p/x or offers.
