The Gretsch G6120TB-DE features a smooth slim''C'' maple neck, designed to provide the fretting hand with incredible comfort across the entire fingerboard. The maple tonewood enhances this bass with a beautifully bright character, adding incredibly sparkle to the high end while keeping the lows thick and firm. An ebony fingerboard is also added, supplying the lower frequencies with extra punch while providing the mids with a captivating growl. The DynaSonic single-coil pickups have been a Gretsch standard since the late'40s and were one of the first pickups to offer individually adjustable pole-pieces. These powerful pickups deliver shimmering highs and a rich, full bass response, adding plenty of impact to any performance.

Achieving the perfect sound is easy with the three-way toggle switch, along with independent volume controls, master volume and master tone control. The Duane Eddy Gretsch Bass is equipped with an adjusto-matic bridge, offering both a great tone and precise intonation with its six individually adjustable string saddles. When combined with the Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, the bridge slightly rocks with the vibration of the strings to reduce friction and improve tuning stability.

In addition, the pinned ebony bridge base extends slightly beyond both sides of the bridge, transferring string energy to the body chambers to enhance its rich and full-bodied tone. Like many guitars by Gretsch, this Signature 6-String Bass features a Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece to create classic sounding pitch bends which are evenly spread across all the strings. The smooth tremolo system can be used to create subtle movements in chords, adding extra depth and texture to your sound, or infuse your tone with sudden pitch shifts for extra tonal versatility. The Gretsch Bass also features a unique brass nut, improving the overall sustain, clarity, and tonal brightness thanks to its low friction design. While traditional plastic nuts can often dampen the vibrations once it passes over the nut, creating a muffled tone, the low friction nature of brass improves the transfer of vibrations from the strings to the neck.

This allows the bass to ring out for longer, resulting in an enhanced resonance and increasing the overall brightness of the tone. Along with its signature features which offer Duanes iconic sound and performance, the G6120TB-DE Bass is still equipped with classic Gretsch appointments.
