B-STOCK VERY MINOR COSMETIC IMPERFECTIONS. NEW STOCK AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL SO GRAB A BARGAIN! Designed in the UK, the Empire bass (KD-EMP-01) by Kingdom Guitars represents the latest in cutting-edge guitar design and sophistication.
From the drawing board, each and every inch has been carefully considered, tested and evolved into a high-level performance instrument. The headstock contours create a satisfying balance of tradition and modernity, which is further complimented with an off-white binding in striking contrast to the satin black finish. The stylised Kingdom logo and model name are emblazoned on the headstock to make this a design in itself. The chrome tuning keys are die-cast and open-geared to provide solid, reliable tuning. The'club' shape is symbolic and carries historic meaning of work and effort. The neck and headstock are two-part maple with an A-grade rosewood fretboard. The stunning diamond inlays represent the wealth and prosperity of the Empire and as well as these distinctions there are side fret dots as well. At only 38mm, the width at the nut is very slim so it is incredibly comfortable and easy to play. Because of the slim, smooth neck and nut combination, travelling up and down the fretboard at great speed is easily achievable so is appealing to more technically proficient players. This said, the Empire does not discriminate and welcomes all that cross its path. Moving further down the neck and another feature exclusively by Kingdom guitars, you will find a unique tail end to this fretboard which glides into the body. The resonance of this guitar is a stand-out feature which is helped by the clever channelling of string tones into the body via this unique fretboard tail and solid basswood body. The combination of a slanted split single-coil (middle/neck) and dual-pole single-coil (bridge) gives essential balance of volume and clarity to notes played on any string and at any fret position. The overall tone control is located in the upper body position for ease of access and live tweaks to your sound. All control knobs are sunken into the body to offer a low-profile, sleek design and the chrome matches beautifully with the adjustable bridge and angled jack input.
The angled jack input provides a more secure connection over the standard side jack position which many guitarists find awkward. Because of the clarity and bite the Empire bass offers, it is popular amongst plectrum players for its attack but also finger-style players for its response and clarity so it truly is a great all-rounder. Turn this bass over and the attention to detail continues...The two body back-plates provide easy access to the volume and tone pots if required for general maintenance and of course a two-way truss rod is fitted in the neck. The body has been carefully designed to fit comfortably around the players body with a generous belly cut and further tapering on the body top to allow the strumming arm to adopt a perfect playing position (as well as take away unnecessary body weight).
This has also ensured a very even weight distribution across the whole instrument so when you are standing, with strap attached, the Empire feels incredibly natural. This is more than a guitar, this is your armour. Kingdom Guitars - Empire Electric Bass Playthrough with Fahran's Joshua Ballantyne "Long Gone".
