This black-cloaked Danelectro 56 Single Cut short-scale bass is an upgraded reissue of the original'56 single-cut model and comes loaded with souped up Lipstick pickups and a traditional rosewood bridge. The masonite body with stunning tape binding is the same as the one on the archetypical bass and together with the pickups, faithfully shapes that rounded, characteristically rich sound we've come to expect from Danelectro's versatile bass guitars. This'56 Single Cut is without doubt of one the most unique models when it comes to sound character and this can be made entirely your own through a tone pot and two individual volume controls for the Lipsticks. The short-scale neck is a maple one and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard with 24 frets while the string length measures 762 mm from bridge to nut and, to complete this special bass, Danelectro have blessed it with a Dolpin headstock with Kluson-style machine heads.
