Fender 1976 precision bass neck with rosewood fretboard 7.25. It has the narrower nut width and nice deep profile. Original tuners and neck plate. I believe the covers are original too but I don't know a way to be certain. Some screws appear og too.
Body is a MIJ body in a nice vintage sunburst. There's no fancy capacitor or anything so I haven't bothered unscrewing the full plate to show pictures.
Bridge is a vintage fender threaded saddle. The neck and body fit together really well. The bass has a lot of sustain.
It has old rotosound steels on it with a lowish action around 2mm on E 1.5mm on G. The neck is in reasonable shape for its age no noticeable dents on the back that effects playability, truss rod works and turns easily.
If I were to keep it I prob would get a fret level done as I like a very low, modern profile. Which I guess is why I don't really play it. Opting for more 14 radius low and flat setups. Still I do think this bass has a great tone especially with the tone knob rolled off, you can hear in the video below.
Body has a couple of dings nothing to write home about in my opinion and makes it pair with the vintage neck even more. Weighs in at around 10.5lbs with covers and everything on. Here's a link to the bass plugged straight into a presonus di on imovie. The item "Fender 1976 Precision Bass Bitsa" is in sale since Monday, May 31, 2021.
