Fender 62 reissue Vintage White Precision Bass. If you've not researched it yet, these Crafted In Japan basses are generally considered as good as their USA counterparts but without the inflated price tag.
It has a wonderful neck, fast and true. The truss rod is good and plenty of life left in the frets. I usually play a Jazz'62 reissue and had no problem flying around this thing. The tone is warm and thick with a nice solid open E, classic rosewood precision sound.
I bought this in for a recording project that specifically wanted that sound and it didn't disappoint! There are general dings and wear around the body as you might expect from a well-used 19 year old bass.
Particularly there are some scuffs on the top of the body that I've done my best to show in the photos. Personally I like my basses with a bit of character but please double check the pics if you prefer an immaculate finish! I made a short video showing the range of tones this bass can produce, please check it out below. Slightly loose playing it was the end of a long day! But it shows the raw tone of the bass very well - recorded through an Overstayer Modular Channel with a smidge of saturation but nothing else.Pure precision thwack and punch! Weight is a comfortable 3.9 kg, comes with a fender gig bag. Feel free to drop by and put it through its paces!
