Fender Japan 62 Re-issue Jazz Bass

  
This Jazz Bass is a 62 Re-issue, made in Japan in the Tokai factory for Fender (contrary to common assumption Fender do not actually have their own manufacturing plant in Japan - the very best Fender Japan guitars are made in the Tokai factory). It was factory fitted with genuine USA pickups. Their highest grade instruments were made for home consumption only. These instruments are very well made and have top quality hardware. The inclusion of USA pickups to the high spec makes this a very desirable instrument. It has a 2 piece Alder body construction and a very nice maple neck with a quality, straight-grained rosewood fretboard. Frets have very little wear. The bass is not mint - you wouldnt expect that from an instrument around 15 years old but it is in extremely good shape as the pics show. Please look at the pics closely as they form part of the description. There are some small marks on the headstock and one tiny indentation on the body. I have tried to show these in the pics. The guitar has a set of DR hand wound strings with little playing wear and comes with a very good case. I have added a bridge cover, vintage style pickguard and real ebony thumb guard all of which add to the classic vintage look.

It has been gigged very little, there is very little fret wear and there are no issues. You are welcome to arrange a visit to try it out.
