This is a Fender Road Worn Jazz Bass,'Flea' signature model in faded Shell Pink. It's based on a 1961 stack-knob Jazz Bass, as played by the bouncy bloke from Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Nice authentically dark rosewood fingerboard, unlike these modern pale-looking pau ferro jobs. This is a very decent Fender bass with the ultra-playable worn-in mojo of a 1960s pre-CBS original but all the advantages of not being 60 years old. The nitrocellulose lacquer feels lovely and will fade further over time to a sort of warm white.

Pickups (Fender's Pure Vintage 64 type) sound full and powerful with all the articulate clarity you'd want from a Jazz Bass. Full disclosure: the body is a genuine 2020 Fender replacement (I resprayed the original).

Have also upgraded the pots and wiring (originals available if you need them). Neck, hardware, pickups etc are otherwise the original 2016 ones. New-looking Fender gig bag included.
