The body is a natural oiled finish which looks stunning and complimented by the gold hardware, the bridge can be strung either normaly or through body stringing which is said to give slightly more sustain and tone. This bass is in very good condition apart from a few small age related marks here and there, but nothing major, the gold hardware is in good condition but for some very slight tarnishing on the bridge. It has just been fitted with a new set of strings so this bass sounds as good as it should, it can produce anything from trouser flapping bottom end to punchy midrange and clear high frequencies so it works very well with any style of music as you can dial in any tone you want.
The body is slightly smaller and lighter than a standard Precision bass and has a slightly smaller headstock, this makes the bass lighter overall so easy to play for hours without feeling the weight of a normal Fender bass, but with no loss of bottom end. The Japanese facility is renown for the build and finish quality of the instruments built there, these basses are becoming collector items due to the low number made and are only seen for sale rarely, they are holding, or even increasing in value. Unfortunatly this bass has not been played for quite some time and it is a shame keeping a great quality bass like this in my house in its case, so it is time to sell it so someone else will enjoy owning and playing it.
