Ibanez RB885 5-String / Electric Bass Guitar / made in Japan Rare 80's Model. A Rare Bass with a few nicks and scratches - nothing major, but for the collector a great project. There was a protective pad on the rear which has now been removed and cleaned, there is a little residue from the tape showing and there's a chip on the shoulder, a few chips and light scratches over the years which have been touched up. I have owned this Bass for over 30 years, it has a very thin fast neck and has served me well in a professional capacity. It's not perfect, if few small imperfections, but it plays and sounds amazing. Free gig bag with shoulder straps, locking guitar strap included.

The RB885 is a "Deluxe" edition Roadstar II Bass series. Solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez.

It was produced in Japan. The RB885 features a double-cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl dot position marker, side dots and a matching headstock. For the Japanese market the body came with an arched top.

The RB885 was discontinued after 1987. RB885 Special (15mm string spacing). Pearl dot and side dots. "1985":Master volume / Master tone / Balancer. 1G, 2D, 3A, 4E, 5B (E Standard).
