Kramer THE DUKE Vintage 1981 Bass Aluminium Neck Short Scale Schaller Tuners/PU. A very cool early US'The Duke' bass by Kramer. These were made in Neptune, New Jersey between 1981 - 83. This is a headless bass with an aluiminium neck that has maple inserts. The fret board is made from Ebonol, a synthetic ebony and has aluminium dot markers.
It's short scale at 30.5 inch with 24 frets. Black gloss finish to the body. There are scratches and marks as you would expect on a 40 year old guitar. There is a small ding on the back of the neck- see last pic. The CTS pots date at 1981.
The Duke series were the last Kramers to have the aluminium necks. Sounds great and really easy to play and has a very cool 80's vibe!
