Here for sale we have an NS Design WAV4 Radius Bass in Metallic Cobalt finish. An affordable version of Ned Steinberger's headless Radius design, this instrument was made in Indonesia in 2015 and features a bolt-on construction comprising a Straight Grain Maple body, one-piece Maple neck and 24 fret Ebony fingerboard.

Black hardware is fitted, including the NS Patented Tuning System which is integrated into the body. The Maple neck plays well, with the'NS Radius' profile feeling somewhat like a rounded'C' shape which promotes ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. Substantial enough to sustain a firm grip whilst remaining slim enough for articulate playing, the profile feels well balanced and responsive in all positions.

The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and adds a touch of luxury to the playing experience, whilst its 15 radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The Radius body design is supremely comfortable in both standing and seated positions, perfect for long gigs and practice sessions.

Lows are deep and rumbling, whilst the mids are punchy and clear. Independent tone controls allow you to vary the sound right on the guitar, making this the perfect bass for a varied set. Headstock: Overall very good condition. Two very light chips are present to the edge of the metal headplate, on the bass side and the top edge.

Any other markings to the headstock are difficult to discern. Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching to the rear of the neck is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body show very light scratching under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

This is most notable to the bass side edge of the lower bout where a light dent is also present. Any other markings are difficult to discern. The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability.

There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 3/16). Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2.5mm - Bass 3mm. Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 45-100. Fully functional with light signs of wear.
