Wishbass number 556, custom singlecut fretless 4-string bass

Steve Wishnevsky has been handmaking basses, or as he says, "paintbrushes for musicians" in rural North Carolina since 2001 and has made over 2,900 so far, all unique. This one is number 556 and is a particularly stunning one, in my opinion it's one of his very best-looking with its fabulous solid woods. Steve's philosophy is extreme simplicity. Nature makes the color, Wishbass makes the Instrument, you make the Music. The nut and bridge are made of Corian and there is no metal in contact with the strings.
Purist Steve also believes in the shortest possible path for the electronics, so there is no tone control and the volume knob is located very close to the jack socket. This, plus the singlecut design, the open headstock and the deep neck make for almost infinite sustain.
If you turn down the treble on your amp it sounds very like a double bass and the fat neck would suit a double bass or upright bass player. It's a joy to play and to listen to. Collection preferred but I may be able to meet/deliver East Sussex/Kent/London.
